School Rules - Student Code of Conduct

Rules and regulations are the most important factors of a school.

Home School Rules

General School Rules

In adherence to fostering a positive and disciplined learning environment, students are required to comply with all school rules and adhere to legal regulations. It is expected that students demonstrate respectful behavior towards all adults while under the jurisdiction of the school and during participation in school-sponsored activities.

Students are expected to be punctual and report to school and classes on time. The school day commences at 8:00 a.m. Any student arriving after this time should promptly report to the office to receive an admit/tardy slip. To ensure safety and supervision, students are discouraged from arriving at school before 7:30 a.m., as adult supervision may not be readily available.

General Conduct :

  • All students should uphold the core values of the school.
  • Student should greet the teachers and visitors when they see them.
  • Students should be orderly and self-disciplined at all times.
  • All students should be punctual for school and all school activities.
  • All students should respect school property.
  • All students must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge.
  • Remain within school boundaries at all times.
  • Avoid using abusive or profane language and gestures. (Disorderly Conduct, a Class B offense)
  • Do not climb trees, gates, railings, fences, and the school buildings.
  • Buying/selling of personal items and trading are not allowed.
  • No personal relations or friends are allowed to visit a student during the class. In case of any significant matter, the visitor can meet a student at the discretion and satisfaction of the administration.
  • The use of tobacco products is strictly prohibited within the premises of the school.
  • No student will remain on the campus after the bell has been rung for the classes or in the classroom after the last bell has been rung.
  • Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instrument to school.
  • Students should attend all festivals and functions that are celebrated in the school.

Hair and Personal Hygiene :

  • Hair must be neat and tidy at all times.
  • No gel, mousse, fancy hair styling or tinting of hair is allowed for all students.
  • Girls' hair should be above base of collar or neatly tied up.
  • All ribbons, rubber bands and hair clips used should be black.
  • Boys' hair should be short, sloped at the sides and rear.
  • Boys must be clean-shaven with no facial hair like moustache and beard.
  • Nails should be kept short and clean.

Basic Classroom Rules :

  • Be in your assigned seat/location, ready to work when the school bell rings.
  • All students must stand up and greet the teacher when he/she enters or leaves the class.
  • Bring paper, pencils, books and all necessary supplies everyday.
  • Keep hands, feet, body, objects to yourself.
  • All students must leave the classroom during recess. Students must be accompanied by a teacher should they remain in the classroom.
  • All fans/air-conditioner and lights must be switched off when leaving the classroom.
  • All students must seek permission from the teacher and obtain a leave pass before leaving the class during lessons.
  • Only during lunch/snack time are students allowed to eat or drink in the classroom. Students are reminded to bring a healthy and easy-to-pack snackes (e.g. sandwiches , apples and buns) to eat during their snack time.
  • All students should help to maintain the cleanliness of the school.
  • Respect others. Swearing, rude gestures, cruel teasing or put-downs are prohibited.
  • All the class/homework given to the students must be properly completed and given to the teacher on time.

Personal Belongings :

  • Students should not bring any valuables to school.
  • Girls may wear plain earrings. Multiple earrings are not allowed.
  • Students should not bring electronic games, cards and toys to the school.
  • Students should not bring excessive pocket money to school.
  • Students are not encouraged to bring handphones to school.
  • All students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They are also not allowed to bring any weapon-like item which is used or intended to be used to cause harm to others

School Attendance Policy :

Coming to school regularly is an integral part of a student's life. This inculcates discipline and regularity in a student, which in turn inculcates moral values and ensures holistic education.

  • Students who have been sick for 3 or more days need to bring a medical certificate from their doctor on re-joining the School.
  • If a student has more than 15 days absences within a month without sending any application can’t appear in exams.
  • Students are not allowed to attend the class without admission slip given from office of the school.
  • No student will be allowed to enter the class without a leave application if he/she has been absent the previous day.
  • Students unable to appear in examination due to medical/unavoidable reasons should submit application to Principal along with photocopies of medical prescription and medical certificate (If applicable).
  • It's the sole responsibility of parents to inform School / class teacher if child is absent more then 2 days. School will enquire only when child is absent for more than 5 continuous days without any applicaiton/permission.
